民國六十八年八月,一群在台灣執業之建築師認為建築固為八大藝術之一,仍需優越之技術予以輔佐,方能發揚其藝術之成就而恆古永存,當時並無中華民國建築師公會全國聯合會等全國性團體,為拓展國際交流,乃向內政部登記成立中華民國建築技術研究發展學會於台北市,歷經第一屆耿鵬程、楊文德、沈祖海、第二、三屆許仲川、第四、五屆江九思、第六、七屆李重耀、第八、九屆蘇錦江、第九、十屆理事長李學忠先生八位前任理事長,及現任第十一屆理事長鄭讚慶先生等之用心經營,暨歷屆理監事與全體會員之竭力支持,使會務日益精進,並於第四屆更改會名為中華民國建築技術學會,又於第十屆更名為社團法人中華民國建築技術學會,會員自初創二、三十人,增加至今五百餘人。
Origin & Principle
Architecture being one of the eight major art forms, a group of Taiwan's practicing architects deemed fine technology is indispensable of maintaining the artistic accomplishment. At the time, there was no architect society to present this artistic excellence in order to promote the international exchanges, these architects registered it under an organization in the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the name of R.O.C. National Institute of Developing Building Technology in August of 1979. Over the years, six Chairmen have served the Institute. The 1st term Chairmen were represented by Keng Peng-Cheng, Yang Wen-Te and Shen T.H. Haigo, Hsu Chung-Chuan was elected as the 2nd & 3rd term Chairman, Chiang Chiu-Szu was elected as the 4th & 5th term Chairman, Li Chung-Yueh was elected as the 6th & 7th term Chairman, Su Chin-Chiang was elected as the 8th & 9th term Chairman, Li Hsueh-Jong was elected as the 9th & 10th term Chairman. Currently, the Institute is under the Directing of Mr. Zheng Tzan-Qing (who was elected as the 11th term Chairman) with the support of the Board of Directors over the years as well as the members. By the 4th term, the Institute change its registered name as “National Institute of Building Technology ”, and the membership has grown from the original couple of dozens to over 500 members till today.
